A Twist on a Family Favorite

My mother-in-law and sister-in-law are fantastic bakers. They come from a long line of Italian women who have been filling their kitchens with amazing food and lots of love. One of their favorite desserts is a sweet ricotta pie. This is a sweet treat that I was not exposed to until I started dating my husband. Although I'll never bake just as perfectly as my Italian relatives, I love to try their recipes and add new ones to my recipe box along the way. This chocolate-ricotta icebox cake looks just right, and could be a fun twist on the original sweet ricotta pie. Maybe I'll make one for the next family function!
