Settling In

It's hard to believe that we've been in Chicago for just about three weeks now. Our moving van finally arrived, and we've unpacked and started to settle in. We're still waiting on a new desk and need to find a great bookcase, but things are shaping up around here! Now that the furniture is in place, it's time to start decorating. That's where I hope you will all help me...

There's a large untouched wall between both bedrooms, and we're just not sure what to do with it. I love the look of a great gallery wall, but don't have the slightest clue what arrangement to use, or what objects to display. Photos, frames, art, mirrors? Help! I'd love your suggestions on an arrangement, or great stores to find items at. Thanks, friends!

That's so exciting to have a blank canvas!
I like the picture gallery walls, like some of these: http://thesweetsurvival.blogspot.com/2011/02/gallery-wall-inspiration.html

But I also like plates on the wall (though when I write that it sounds super weird lol): http://www.lizmarieblog.com/2011/02/eclectic-plate-wall-art.html

Can't wait to see what you do with your space :-)

Your place looks sooo pretty! I love the wall color!! And I love the idea of a gallery of pictures on the wall too! My favorite gallery walls are ones with lots of black and white pictures and then silver picture frames. How exciting about your move!

We moved to Chicago about 6 weeks ago and I'm still trying to get my walls decorated, so I feel your pain. I love the idea of a gallery wall, too! Young House Love's is my fave: http://www.younghouselove.com/2011/03/the-hallway-full-monty/
