This Thanksgiving will be the first time that my husband and I will be away from the family. My brother-in-law will be in Chicago to visit, but we'll be without the rest of the fam. It will also be the first Thanksgiving dinner that I will be cooking, and I couldn't be more excited. It'll be a small feast for 4 people, but that's probably all I can handle for my first try. I might have to pick up some of those cute "gobble" plates with the little turkeys to accent the table. Have you ever cooked your own Thanksgiving or holiday feast?

I love Thanksgiving and West Elm. You should make your first Thanksgiving away special by making some new dishes. (And getting THOSE west elm dishes!)
Jen you are going to have a blast cooking!!!! We dont have family in Houston, so it's just us two, but I still do the entire meal because I just love cooking for Thanksgiving. Actually, I was in Chicago the October before my first Thanksgiving and I got my table settings from Crate and Barrel on the Millenium Mile (is that what it's called?) I can't wait to see your Thanksgiving, please take tons of pictures!
We've had a few of those Thanksgiving's as well, and I must say they are really nice, quiet, and enjoyable! I love all of these pieces :) xx
