Pinterest + Pantry

Photos of yummy food and accompanying recipes are easy to find on Pinterest -- but, have you ever made a recipe you've pinned? I finally turned a recipe pin into a meal over the weekend! {This} amazing Cranberry Pecan Chicken Salad was a re-pin on Pinterest weeks ago, and was absolutely delicious in real life. The recipe was simple, and I had most of the ingredients in my home already. I chose to roast an entire chicken (to use the rest as leftovers), but you could use leftover chicken pieces from cooked breasts or a store bought cooked chicken. Next time, I'd use less rosemary than the recipe calls for -- other than that, I wouldn't change a thing!

I'd love to hear if any of you are using Pinterest as a virtual recipe box!

Currently Loving... Ball Jars

My friend Ashley got me hooked on mason jars -- Ball jars to be exact. Many of her family members collect them and display them in their homes. They even display them in the farmhouse on their cherry farm in northern Michigan. Ashley had her wedding florist incorporate large Ball jars into her wedding décor, displaying giant sunflowers and grasses. I adore the rustic look, and especially love the blue-tinted jars. I have a few clear Ball jars of my own, but I’d love to start collecting the blue-tinted variety. Don’t they look lovely with fresh cut flowers in them? They make such a pretty, understated arrangement. I’ve been rounding up images of Ball jars on Pinterest – here are a few of my favorites.

Grey Tee DIY

I am constantly finding myself bookmarking and pinning tutorials for DIY projects. These two projects were pinned a while ago, and I go back to them all the time – aren’t they fun? A plain gray tee turned into something so fabulous! I supposed you could use any colored tee, but I do like the look of the dark gray. There’s something neat about the casual color and the ruffles together.

Thoughts on dreams, change and trying…

I’ve been spotting a lot of really wonderful inspirational images on Pinterest lately. Not only are these images inspirational -- they are lovely, too. Combine pretty design with motivational snippets and you’ve got yourself a winning combo. I think any of these little designs would make great prints for placing on a desk.

Friends, do you pin? I’d love to follow your pins, if you do! Find mine {here.}

You Make Me Happy

Friends, are you on Pinterest? I totally adore it, and have been pinning away! Follow my pins {here} if you'd like. Today, I came across this fun image. It's originally from Holly Mathis Interiors, but I was not able to locate the original post. It's just such an uplifting & inspirational home accent, don't you think?

*Update:  A big thank you to Amy at Shutterly Lovely for pointing out the actual original source of this image! Dana at House Tweaking has this great accent in her own home -- I love it! You can check it out {here}.
